🌊 The Story of Prophet Nuh (A.S.)
Prophet Nuh (A.S.) called his people to worship Allah alone, but most rejected him and mocked his message. Despite their behaviour, he remained patient and continued his mission.
Following Allah’s command, he built an ark. When the great flood arrived, Allah saved Nuh (A.S.) and the believers who boarded it. Even Nuh’s own son refused to believe and could not escape Allah’s decree.
This powerful story teaches us:
🤲 Trust Allah completely
🕊️ Remain patient during difficulties
💪 Continue doing what is right—even when others mock you
❤️ Understand that faith and obedience matter more than status or family connections
“Indeed, he was a grateful servant.”
— Qur’an 17:3
May Allah give us the patience, faith and gratitude of Prophet Nuh (A.S.). Ameen.

The Story of Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him)
Prophet Nuh was sent by Allah to people who worshipped idols. He lovingly called them to worship Allah alone and warned them against disobedience.
He preached publicly and privately, during the day and at night. However, most people refused to listen. Some placed their fingers in their ears, covered themselves, and behaved arrogantly. Nuh remained among his people for 950 years, but only a limited number believed.
Eventually, Allah revealed to Nuh that no more of his people would believe. Allah instructed him to build an ark under divine guidance. While Nuh built it, the leaders passed by and mocked him. He answered that a time would come when they would discover who truly deserved ridicule.
When Allah’s command arrived, water poured from the sky and burst from the earth. Nuh was commanded to take aboard:
The believers
Members of his family whom Allah had chosen to save
A pair of every kind
Nuh said:
“Board it. In the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage.”
— Qur’an 11:41
The ark sailed through enormous waves resembling mountains. Nuh saw one of his sons standing apart and called him to come aboard. His son refused, believing that a mountain would protect him from the water.
Nuh warned him:
“There is no protector today from the decree of Allah, except for whom He gives mercy.”
— Qur’an 11:43
A wave came between them, and his son drowned. This teaches that family connections cannot save someone without faith and Allah’s mercy.
After the flood, Allah commanded the earth to swallow its water and the sky to stop raining. The ark rested upon Mount Judi. Nuh and the believers left the ark with Allah’s peace and blessings.
Important lessons
Worship Allah alone.
Continue doing right even when people mock you.
True success comes through faith and obedience, not family status.
Parents should guide their children, but they cannot force faith into their hearts.
Allah saves the believers and fulfils His promises.
The story appears mainly in Surah Hud 11:25–49, Surah Nuh 71, and Surah Al-‘Ankabut 29:14–15.
