Eid in Pakistan falling on Saturday, March 21, 2026

Eid (specifically Eid ul-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast") marks the end of Ramadan and is one of the biggest celebrations in Pakistan.

From recent announcements and reliable sources:
Pakistan typically follows local moon sighting via Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The Shawwal crescent was expected to be sighted on the evening of March 19 or 20.
Most updates point to Eid ul-Fitr falling on Saturday, March 21, 2026 (1 Shawwal),
.
- Public holidays are usually 3–4 days: often March 21 (main Eid day), plus March 22–23 (extended for family visits, and March 23 aligns with Pakistan Day in some calendars, making a long weekend).

Government offices, schools, and most businesses close during this period. Celebrations involve:

Eid prayers
early morning at mosques or open grounds (large gatherings in cities like Lahore's Badshahi Mosque or local ones in Faisalabad).
Wearing new traditional clothes (shalwar kameez, etc.), especially for kids.
Exchanging Eid Mubarak greetings, hugs, and Eidi (gifts/money for younger ones).
Feasting on special foods like Sheer Khurma (vermicelli pudding with milk, nuts, dates), sewaiyan, biryani, kebabs, and sweets.

Here are some images capturing the spirit of Eid in Pakistan:

Dua for the 30th day of Ramadan

Dua for the 30th day of Ramadan

Dua for the 30th day of Ramadan

Dua for the 30th day of Ramadan

Dua for the 30th day of Ramadan

Dua for the 30th day of Ramadan (the final day, often focused on acceptance of our fasts, gratitude, and seeking Allah's pleasure). This is one of the most commonly shared versions from traditional sources like duas.org and similar compilations of daily Ramadan supplications.

English Translation:
O Allah, on this day make my fasts worthy of appreciation and acceptance, according to what pleases You and pleases Your Messenger.

This dua emphasizes shukr(gratitude) and qabul (acceptance) of the entire month's efforts, seeking that our worship aligns with what Allah and the Prophet ﷺ approve.

English Translation:
O Allah, remove my sins from me as You have removed the East from the West. O Allah, purify me from sins as a white garment is purified from filth. O Allah, wash away my sins with snow, water, and ice.

On the last day/night of Ramadan, increase your istighfar tawbah, and general supplications for acceptance of deeds, forgiveness, and steadfastness after Ramadan. May Allah accept all our fasts, prayers, and duas this Ramadan. Ameen ya Rabb!

Ramadan Mubarak .

Here is the Ramadan Day 30 Dua (last day of Ramadan):

English Translation

O Allah, make my fasting on this day full of gratitude and acceptance, in the way that pleases You and pleases the Messenger. Strengthen its roots and branches firmly, for the sake of our master Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his pure family.

On the last day of Ramadan, also make lots of istighfar (استغفار)durood (درود شریف), and pray for forgiveness, because it’s a very special time before Eid ul-Fitr.

Ramadan dua day 29

Ramadan dua day 29

Here are some Ramadan dua day 29 of the most beautiful and commonly recited Ramadan duas (supplications), drawn from authentic sources like hadith collections (e.g., Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi). I've included the Arabic text, transliteration, and English translation for easy learning and recitation. These cover key moments like starting the fast, breaking the fast (iftar), Laylatul Qadr, and general Ramadan blessings.

1. Dua for Intention at Suhoor (Before Dawn, to Start Fasting)

Transliteration: Wa bisawmi ghadin nawaiytu min shahri Ramadan

Translation: I intend to fast tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.

2. Dua When Breaking the Fast (Iftar Dua – Very Rewarded Moment)

: Dhahabadh-dhama’u wabtallatil ‘urooqu wa thabatal ajru in shaa Allah

The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is certain, if Allah wills.

Another beautiful version:

Transliteration: Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu wa ‘ala rizqika aftartu

Translation: O Allah, for You I have fasted, in You I have believed, upon You I have relied, and with Your provision I break my fast.

 3. Famous Dua for Laylatul Qadr (Especially in the Last 10 Nights)

Transliteration: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni

Translation: O Allah, You are the Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.

(This is highly recommended by the Prophet ﷺ for Laylatul Qadr—recite it abundantly!)

Transliteration: Allahumma ahillahu ‘alayna bil-amni wal-imani was-salamati wal-Islam, Rabbi wa Rabbuk Allah, hilalu rushdin wa khayr

Translation: O Allah, make it rise upon us with security, faith, safety, and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah. A moon of guidance and goodness.

5. General Ramadan Duas for Mercy, Forgiveness & Acceptance

- For the first 10 days (focus on mercy):

Arabic: رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Transliteration: Rabbi ighfir warham wa anta khayrur-raahimeen

Translation: My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of those who show mercy.

Ramadan is the month where duas are especially accepted—particularly at iftar, in sujood, and in the last third of the night. Make your supplications sincere, personal, and abundant. May Allah accept your fasts, forgive your sins, and grant you Laylatul Qadr. Ramadan Mubarak, Ramadan dua day 29

29th Ramadan Nawafil

29th Ramadan Nawafil

29th Ramadan Nawafil

The 29th night of Ramadan (the night before the 29th day, or potentially the final night if Ramadan ends on the 30th) holds special significance as one of the odd-numbered nights in the last ten days. According to authentic hadith (e.g., from Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim), the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised seeking Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power/Decree) specifically in the odd nights of the last ten: 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th.

Laylatul Qadr is described in the Quran (Surah Al-Qadr) as better than a thousand months, and its exact date is hidden to encourage continuous worship throughout these nights. Many Muslims intensify ibadah (worship) on this night, including nawafil (voluntary prayers), Quran recitation, dhikr, dua, istighfar, and charity.

Nawafil and Practices for the 29th Night

1. 4 Rak'ats Nawafil (2 sets of 2 rak'ats each)

   - In each rak'at: After Surah Al-Fatihah, recite Surah Al-Qadr (إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ) once + Surah Al-Ikhlas (قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدُ) three times.

After completing the salah: Recite Surah Al-Inshirah (Alam Nashrah - سورة الشرح) 70 times (or sometimes 27 times in variations).

  2. Another set of 4 Rak'ats Nawafil (2 sets of 2 rak'ats each)

   - In each rak'at: After Surah Al-Fatihah, recite Surah Al-Qadr once +Surah Al-Ikhlas five times.

    - Pray extra Tahajjud (night prayer) in as many rak'ats as you can manage.

   - Recite Surah Al-Waqi'ah (سورة الواقعة) 7 times — believed by some to increase rizq (provision).

   - Make abundant istighfar (e.g., Astaghfirullah 100 times or more).

   - Recite Surah Al-Qadr multiple times (some suggest 7, 21, or more).

   - Perform abundant dhikr, dua (especially the dua: "Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'anni" — O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me), and Salawat.

These practices come from devotional guides and traditions (often South Asian/Indian subcontinent sources like "Shab-e-Qadr nawafil" collections), and while not all have direct sahih hadith chains for the exact format on the 29th, they align with the general Sunnah of increasing voluntary worship, Quran, and supplication in these blessed nights.

May Allah accept your efforts, grant you Laylatul Qadr if it's tonight, forgive your sins, and bless you immensely. Ameen. Ramadan Mubarak!

The federal government of Pakistan has issued an official notification declaring public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 Holidays (Pakistan).

According to announcements from the Cabinet Division (reported across major sources like Business Recorder, The Express Tribune, Geo News, Pro Pakistani, and others on March 15, 2026), Friday, March 20, 2026, and Saturday, March 21, 2026, are declared public holidays on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr. This applies to offices and institutions following both five-day and six-day work weeks.

The Government of Pakistan has issued a notification for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 Holidays (Pakistan).

public holidays will be observed on the following dates

Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 Holidays (Pakistan)

March 20 (Friday): Public holiday for Eid

March 21 (Saturday): Public holiday for Eid

March 22 (Sunday): Regular weekly holiday

March 23 (Monday): Public holiday for Pakistan Day

This creates a four-day weekend/holiday period from March 20 to March 23, 2026, for most government offices, schools, and many private sector workplaces.

Eid card images eid mubarak

The exact date of Eid ul Fitr depends on the sighting of the Shawwal moon (typically confirmed by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on the evening before), but the holidays were announced in advance based on the expected/confirmed timing, aligning with Eid likely on March 21, 2026 (Saturday, with celebrations possibly starting March 20).

Because Sunday (22 March) is a weekend and Monday (23 March) is Pakistan Day, many people may enjoy a 4-day long break (20–23 March 2026)ending on their organization or school schedule.
